
One of the things that strikes me is that the majority on the list are well above age 40. Those who are below 40 tend to have started in the entertainment industry and have branched into other things as they age. A good number of women on that list are 50+ in age. It’s not at all unusual to see men in their 30’s and 40’s in positions which are considered “powerful”. This says to me, sadly, that women have to bust their humps longer than most men in similar circumstances in order to be considered “powerful”. And, once again, what do they focus on? The “look” of global leadership. They could have said something like “women finally getting the respect they deserve” or similar. But, no. They have to talk about the “look”. *facepalm*
