A while back, Zazzle removed all of my Grok merchandise from my shop. When I inquired, I found that they had done so at the request of the Heinlein Trust, which controls all of Robert Heinlein’s literary works. At the time, I sent the Heinlein Trust a letter letting them know that all of the materials flagged for removal were parodies of the word Grok with various sayings and song lyrics which I felt should be protected as fair use in parody. I got a call today from Art Dula (spelling?) who is the Trustee for the Heinleins. He said that he and the trust agree that my products are acceptable usage. So now I can make them available on Zazzle again once I get in touch with them and note that I now have permission. Wooohooo! I’m ecstatic!
