Magickal Vision: The Art of Jolie E. Bonnette

In light of having to put the “Hoof and Horn” image on hold indefinitely due to the unwillingness of the lights and shadows to cooperate and render properly, I decided to work on something else in digital paint which doesn’t have such unforeseeable drawbacks. Now, I have more than 30 pieces on the drives that need finishing. Do I choose one of those? Noooooo. Off I go on another tangent I’ve decided to call “Witch Queen”. Now, I COULD have chosen to do some half-naked, gothy or sexily dressed tart like most other people do. Oh, no… not me. Chain mail. Chain mail? What was I thinking?! So… yeah… I must unconsciously be a masochist.

Yeah, very ugly and far from done, but steadily coming along. I’ve no idea how long it’ll take to finish. I can only work that chainmail for so long before I have to take a break from looking at it. :D

I had to give up on my “Hoof and Horn” image. I was just having far too much trouble getting it to render correctly and got frustrated at waiting hours and hours for renders that were just absolutely horrid to the point of being useless. I have a prelim render of the main Horned God figure Which was done just to check design aesthetics and clipping issues. I’ve made that available on a few items at Zazzle. But the full version will have to wait until I can actually get settled enough to work on it again.

In the mean time, I’m working on a new image that goes back to digital painting called “Witch Queen.” It’s not much to look at yet, so I’ll post some progress images when it’s a bit more along. Let’s just say I am a masochist. I’m putting chain mail on her. Yes, there will be much cussing. :-D
